i NEVER asked my mom for money since i was 17 (except for monthly EZlink bus concessions),

usually she gives me money when she feels like it

so when i asked her to buy 4-5 capsicums and she shouted in that high-pitched tone "buy 2 only ah.. 1 is $1+ leh...so expensive!!"

That threw me off...

kinda sad

and don't even start about my father, i think he invented the word 'kedekut'
