My first ever full marathon!
42km is no joke
few days before i was thinking about backing out
Firstly, i have to say that the volunteers and all the cheer participants
did a super excellent job in getting all our spirits up.
From ppl dressing in elves to santas to candy canes playing drums
to music performances along east coast park
to the people at drink station shouting your name while passing you water,
to this ang moh family standing at the side cheering non stop
to a group of girls screaming like as if we were pop stars
to ppl in tall walking sticks
to the medics telling us 'just few KM left'
down to passerby encouraging us
THEY WERE EXCELLENT!
not forgetting the awesome motivational quotes and phrases that was along the route,
'you've reached this far, don't tell me you're giving up'
and my favourite
'doesn't matter if you run, jog, walk or even crawl as long as you finish it'
i swore i almost gave up at 12km
my stomach hurt like hell
i thought that i had menses cramp and i was planning my exit.
but after i passed 14km, i had the energy to continue and run
what miracles!
i even beat my own timing at 30km.
but sadly, my feet and ankle hurts after 35km
and i still cant understand why i walked slower than the rest.
i concluded that my kaki is pendek!
whatever it is. I COMPLETED IT AND I AM SO PROUD OF MESELF!
i saw my pictures.
why Hendry looks so good and photogenic and I don't?!!?
don't know if i'm gonna do it again,
but if i am i better make sure i'm ready
